Sailing Reports

Wednesday 18th May

Excellent sailing weather today with a smaller turn out but everyone enjoying the sailing. Pete took charge of the session as part of his induction as a Senior Instructor for the group. Weather could of been a bit more warmer but we managed to get out into the sound but once again very busy.  Christian helmed the Hawk for the majority of the session and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Wednesday 25th May

Lucky with the wind again but could do with some sun.  We welcomed back Yaz and her friend Jodie and some new members Bradley and Michelle.  John, through meeting him at the Drake Circus promotion, came along to see if he could volunteer to help and he is most welcome.  

Chris took out the Access again and got up some good speed showing the performance of the craft and how safe it is.  We hope to get Yaz back into the access this year with some solo sailing from her.  The Hawks managed to get down to the bottom of Drakes Island and back with some good helming from Bradley and Tom.  Pippa had her first night out on the water supporting Victoria and Bee and it was nice to see them having such a good time. Pictures from this session now appear on the web and thanks to Ken for taking them.

Well done to Pete who is now a fully qualified SI and will be able to SI for the group.
